AvtoVAZ has completely switched to Euro-5
The Ulyanovsk plant has stopped producing modifications of cars equipped with Euro-0 standard engines, as stated by the automaker's press service.
«Since February 2024, there are no modifications of zero environmental class in the model line. Currently, you can purchase cars from dealers with „Euro-0“ only earlier release dates», — stated at UAZ.
This is due to amendments to Russian Government Decree No. 844 of May 12, 2022. The new edition of the document reads: «from February 1, 2024, vehicles produced on the territory of the Russian Federation must comply with an environmental standard of at least 3».
AvtoVAZ also reported today that all Ladas produced comply with the Euro-5 standard.
«Transfer of the entire Lada model range to the Euro-5 environmental standard, which we were able to complete last year, — This is another achievement of our team as part of the implementation of the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin on the speedy achievement of technological independence in the automotive industry», — said Maxim Sokolov, President of JSC «AvtoVAZ».
