Fallout New Vegas was so good that for some it overshadowed Bethesda's main games. This has given rise to theories about Todd Howard's specific relationship with Obsidian Entertainment's work.
For many years, the Fallout fan community has been debating the “complicated relationship” between Todd Howard and Fallout New Vegas. The fact is that this game was made by * and it so happened that for many it became the “number 1 game” in the entire franchise.
Rumors began to circulate that Todd Howard hates Fallout New Vegas. However, recently this long-term dispute was put to rest – by the developer himself.
Todd Howard took part in a podcast from the Kinda Funny Games YouTube channel, where they talked about the potential interaction between Bethesda and Obsidian Entertainment: both companies are now “under the Microsoft umbrella.” The host said Todd didn't have to answer because “everyone's seen the headlines about how you hate New Vegas, you hate Obsidian, you cut them out of the [Fallout] timeline, it just doesn't exist; so you don't have to answer this question.”
However, Todd Howard still responded: “…I can't talk about what we will do with the [Fallout] franchise in the future, but New Vegas is a very important game for us and our fans. We think [Obsidian] did an incredible job.”
And Feargus Urquhart was called “one of the most beloved people in the video game industry.” < /p>
In the second season of the Fallout series there will be more connections with Fallout New Vegas, and one of the locations should be the city itself.
