It may be discontinued earlier
AvtoVAZ has indeed extended the life cycle of the model, but the plant's president, Maxim Sokolova, has already confirmed that the model will remain on the market until 2029 at the latest.
AvtoVAZ's leader has confirmed that the domestic manufacturer plans to discontinue the Lada Granta model, which is currently the brand's bestseller, in the next five years.
Moreover, Lada Granta remains the best-selling new car on the Russian market. In April of this year alone, 19,421 cars were sold, while in May, sales amounted to 18,023 cars. Since the beginning of the year, 82,219 Lada Granta have been sold.
It is worth adding that the Lada Granta family has been on the AvtoVAZ conveyor since 2011.
Earlier it became known that AvtoVAZ will leave the budget model Lada Granta on the conveyor after the appearance of the new and more expensive Lada Iskra in the lineup, as stated by the vice president of sales and marketing of AvtoVAZ Dmitry Kostromin.
