Пик первого весеннего звездопада Лириды – в грядущие выходные, 21-22 апреля

The Lyrids can usually be observed during three nights near the peak, that is, on the nights of April 21, 22 and 23. Unfortunately, according to the Moscow Planetarium, the Moon is close to full moon and will interfere with the observation of meteors. However, in clear weather, the most patient will still be able to make a wish. The Lyrid radiant is located low above the eastern horizon by midnight and rises higher and higher above the southern horizon only in the morning, at 5-6 o’clock. Under these conditions, after midnight and all night until dawn, bright Lyrid meteors can be observed under clear skies.
