Engine power will be 400 hp

Toyota is already working on a new Supra that will hit the market within the next few years. Sources from Japan report that the new model will be available with an electric powertrain and a version with an internal combustion engine.

Additional information about the next-generation Supra internal combustion engine has been published by Best Car, which claims that the new Toyota Supra may have a BMW engine capable of running on synthetic fuel.

The car will be equipped with a 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbocharged engine. The notable difference is that this engine will be capable of running on carbon-neutral fuel and will also include mild hybrid technology.

In addition, the next-generation Supra will presumably also run on regular unleaded gasoline. The new engine should produce around 400 hp, up slightly from 382 hp. for the current model. The new car should also retain the option of a six-speed manual transmission, while buyers will also have access to an eight-speed automatic.
