Paragon from Epic Games failed to gain a foothold in the market, but the game concept managed to attract some interest
The authors of Predecessor announced the start of open beta testing and the transition to a shareware distribution model. For some time, testing was carried out in closed mode, and the game was also distributed as a “premium” game.
Now anyone can try out Predecessor – a mixture of a shooter and MOBA strategy. Paragon from Epic Games proposed similar ideas, but the project was ultimately scrapped.
Nevertheless, the “Paragon thing” lives on in games like Predecessor. It is not yet entirely clear how long the MBT will last.
The current version of Predecessor offers over 30 heroes to choose from: “…each of which has yunique and destructive abilities, such as shooting through walls, turning into invisibility and firing missiles from above… Punch through your lane and advance towards the enemy objective, demolishing towers as you fight to destroy their core while protecting your own. Predecessor plays like a traditional three-lane MOBA, but with genre-defining elements like immersive third-person perspective , high-quality graphics and game-changing map verticality“.
Predecessor presented not only on PC on Steam and Epic Games Store, but also on PlayStation consoles, the list of supported platforms has been supplemented by Xbox Series consoles.
