At the Vostochny cosmodrome, preparation of the launch vehicle «Angara-A5» For the first launch, we recall that the first flight copy of the rocket arrived at the cosmodrome on January 9. Roscosmos specialists have already begun preparing «Angara-A5» for the first launch: a full check of the completeness and operability of the technological systems and technical complex is carried out before assembly and testing.
In addition, specialists will check the fit of the components of the launch vehicle and today, January 18, will begin autonomous checks of the Angara-A5 blocks. The first launch of the domestic three-stage heavy-class rocket «Angara-A5» scheduled for March 2024. And the entire family includes light launch vehicles «Angara-1.2», medium launch vehicles «Angara-A3» and heavy «Angara-A5», including the modernized «Angara-A5M» increased load capacity.
