At the moment «Avtozavod St. Petersburg» (former Russian Nissan plant) produces only one model — crossover XCITE X-Cross 7, also known as Chery Tiggo 7 Pro. But already in the fall, in September, the second model will hit the assembly line — larger and with all-wheel drive.
«We plan to launch the second model of the brand in September. We have a plan to grow and develop the Xcite brand. The crossover will be larger, and plus there will be all-wheel drive», — said the company's general director Ivan Mironov.
There are no details, but it is possible that the second XCITE model will also be a renamed Chery: it was previously reported that the former Russian Nissan plant will produce not only Chery Tiggo 7 Pro, but also Chery 8.
Remember, the other day «Russian car» reported that AvtoVAZ and Dongfeng are negotiating to assemble cars of the Chinese company in Russia. And they are planned to be produced at the site of the St. Petersburg Automobile Plant.
