Payday 3 got off to a great start, but then failed miserably. The developers will try to save the game, six months later they are thinking about adding an offline game mode
Payday 3 caused a lot of discontent at launch. The fact is that the cooperative shooter about robbers was tied to online, and the servers crashed.
Soon, many left Payday 3, and the remaining players were faced with a minimal amount of content and not the most outstanding technical condition. Gradually the online dropped below 500 players on Steam. For comparison, on February 16, the old Payday 2 had more than 34 thousand players online.
The developers will make an attempt to save Payday 3, for this they are proposing a lot of changes.
It is expected that an offline game mode will be introduced in 2024 (so that you can play with bots without connecting servers); the game interface will be redesigned; changes match selection; will work on the stability of the servers and the game itself. They also plan to do something with the progression, they also mention a map in the style of Crime.Net (server browser in the spirit of Payday 2).
Payday 3 rescue team intends to by summer 2024 year to do the following:
- Add the “Quick Play” function (now you need to select a specific robbery from the list and difficulty)
- Introduce the ability to change the name of the equipment preset
- Periodicly release small content updates (no specifics yet)
- Voting for kicking a player out of the match
- Add a “not ready” button (now you can’t cancel after clicking “ready”)
- Daily activities with rewards
- Enter the “play again” button
- Uniting players into a group after the match
