Microsoft has not yet acknowledged the problem or offered a solution
Microsoft released its traditional monthly «Tuesday update»released last week. (Patch Tuesday) turned out to be not problem-free. According to users who installed the Windows 11 update number KB5033375, in some cases the update led to disruption of Wi-Fi on the PC.
The problem particularly affected universities and educational institutions, as well as small and medium-sized companies. Such enterprise users experienced slow Wi-Fi speeds after installing KB5033375. In some cases, the wireless connection stops working altogether.
A more thorough investigation showed that the error affected at least two updates released in December — KB5033375 (required security update) and KB5032288 (optional update). There is a possibility that the problem is limited to older Qualcomm wireless adapters, which are mainly used in public universities. In some cases, the problem may also affect Wi-Fi connections that use the PEAP protocol to connect.
Microsoft has not yet acknowledged the problem or proposed a solution, but the company is already studying user complaints.
