Haval Jolion for 2.42 million rubles is in the lead
Over the past year, Russia has seen a significant increase in demand for Chinese cars, which has increased almost 2.5 times, reaching 141%. The average cost of these cars also increased by 5%, reaching 2.97 million rubles for the period from January 2023 to January 2024. This data was provided by experts of the online platform «Avito Auto».
Classified statistics show that the number of advertisements for the sale of Chinese cars increased last year by 4.5 times or 358%. The share of new Chinese models in the total volume of sales announcements on the site reached 71%.
Managing Director «Avito Auto» Kirill Votyakov notes that Chinese automakers have achieved success thanks to build quality, the development of dealer networks and the diversity of the model range in different price segments. This made it easy for buyers to find the right car for any budget.
Among Chinese brands, the most popular is Haval, which occupies 16% of the market. The average price of new cars of this brand is 2.5 million rubles. In second place is Changan with a share of 15.4% and an average price of 2.75 million rubles, and in third – Chery with 15% and an average price of 3.21 million rubles. The top 5 also includes Geely (4 million rubles) and Omoda (2.95 million rubles) with shares of 13% and 6%, respectively.
Among the models, the most popular is the updated Haval Jolion crossover, which attracts 8% of consumer interest. Its average price is 2.42 million rubles. The top ten includes Omoda C5, Chery Tiggo 4 Pro, Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max, Haval M6, Jetour Dashing, Geely Coolray, Changan Uni-K and Geely Emgrand.
