In China the car is offered in four trim levels
Today, pre-sales of the new Toyota Land Cruiser 250 SUV started in China. The car is offered in four trim levels with designations atypical for Toyota — UN, ALR, ADV and LUX, prices — from 65.3 to 80 thousand dollars. That is, the Land Cruiser 250 turned out to be about 5 thousand dollars more expensive than the larger and more powerful Tank 700 Hi4-T. If we compare the cost of the Toyota Land Cruiser 250 with its American Land Cruiser (this is the same model, but they are called differently due to regional characteristics), then the «Chinese» turned out to be 10 thousand dollars more expensive.
The full premiere of the Toyota Land Cruiser 250 in China will take place during the Beijing Auto Show, which starts on April 25. Then retail prices will be announced, and they will most likely be slightly lower (the Chinese like to inflate prices at the pre-order stage). And deliveries of finished cars will start only in the middle of the year — July 16.
In China, as in the USA, the Toyota Land Cruiser 250 will be available with two design options — with round headlights, reminiscent of the classic Land Cruisers of the 60s and 70s of the last century, and with more modern rectangular lighting equipment. The dimensions of the car, let us remind you, are 4920 × 1980 × 1860 mm with a wheelbase length of 2850 mm (Land Cruiser Prado 250 has almost grown in size to Land Cruiser 300).
The car is equipped with a digital dashboard and media system with a large screen, JBL acoustics with 14 speakers, three-zone climate control, leather interior (5- or 6-seater), wireless charging for a smartphone.
Like the American Land Cruiser, the Chinese car has only one power plant — hybrid based on a 2.4-liter T24A-FTS turbo engine producing 330 hp. All-wheel drive with two locks (inter-axle and rear inter-axle) — in the database.
