Sales will begin in the second quarter
Hongqi, a premium Chinese brand, is preparing to release its fifth model on the Russian market. We are talking about the compact crossover Hongqi HS3.
Sales are scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2024. There is no information on specifications or pricing at this time, but the HS3 is expected to be the most affordable model in the company's crossover lineup.
The Hongqi HS3 was unveiled in China last year at the Shanghai Auto Show. In Russia, this crossover will be offered in two versions: with a 1.5-liter turbo engine and front-wheel drive, or with a more powerful 2-liter turbo engine and all-wheel drive.
The engine power has not yet been announced, but in China they develop 169 and 251 hp. respectively. The older version of the crossover is capable of accelerating to 100 km/h in 7.2 seconds and reaching a top speed of 220 km/h.
Hongqi HS3 will be offered to Russian buyers in six different body colors, including two-tone options, and four interior trim options. The model is currently undergoing certification, after which a vehicle type approval will be received, which will formally allow its official sales in Russia.
