It will be presented at the Beijing Auto Show
The Haval H6 was once the best-selling crossover in China and although its sales have now declined, it is still a very important car for Great Wall Motor and the best-selling model of the Haval brand.
Thanks to insiders from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, we know how the third generation Haval H6 will differ. The car is now 50 mm longer and measures 4,703 mm in length. Another important difference, which is visible in the new pictures — this is the new front part.
Last year's update saw the original large grille replaced with a more closed one, and this year we see the return of the large grille along with prominent light bars running down from the headlights. The rear of the car no longer has through-lights and now uses a more traditional light unit arrangement. In 2023, the car became the sixth best-selling SUV in China with sales of 226,024 units, and Great Wall is apparently hoping to maintain that figure with the update.
Powertrains are expected to remain the same: a 1.5L engine with 135kW coupled to a 7-speed dual-clutch wet-clutch transmission, or a 2.0L engine with 170kW also coupled with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. clutch. In addition, both hybrid and PHEV versions should be available.
The model is expected to be exported from China as the car is currently sold in various emerging markets in Asia, as well as South Africa and Australia.
The facelifted version of the Haval H6 is likely to be shown to the public at the Beijing Auto Show next week, with sales starting later this year. Considering that sales of the third generation started in 2020, this is likely the last facelift before the appearance of the fourth generation Haval H6.
Official teasers of the new product were published yesterday.
