It seems that fans of Escape from Tarkov and other online shooters will soon find it even more difficult to survive than usual
Cheaters have been ruining the gaming experience for users for many years. The degree of harm from cheaters varies depending on the project; if in Counter-Strike 2 we are talking about losing a match and losing rank and time, then in the conditional Escape from Tarkov the player also loses valuable equipment.
Data miner blogger Gabe Follower recently spoke out on the topic of cheaters. He spoke about the massive spread of a new type of cheat, which poses a serious threat to the competitive component of online shooters. There were cheaters before, but now they have become more active.
Gabe Follower said: “Apparently, “bad” players [cheaters] have started actively coding virtually undetectable driver level cheats for all FPS shooter games (this problem has been around for a few years now, but it seems to be spreading much faster than before). I wonder how the “most effective” anti-cheats will cope with this problem”.
It seems that this potential threat is well understood by some developers, such as Valve. There have long been rumors on the Internet about a certain new anti-cheat for Counter-Strike 2, supposedly this protection will use the capabilities of artificial intelligence to combat violators.
