To avoid receiving a fine for being overweight, drivers will have to unload passengers and pass through weight control points without them
Russian carriers who switched to Chinese buses encountered an unexpected problem. It turned out that the equipment of their Celestial Empire was very heavy for the new Russian standards: when new weight restrictions came into force on Russian roads on March 1, carriers began to receive impressive fines.
Telegram channel «Buses and in general» cites the following case: one organization in the Omsk region received a fine of 250 thousand rubles for a regular regular bus. But in general, a legal entity faces a fine of up to 7.5 million rubles.
In accordance with the new restrictions, the weight of two-axle buses should not exceed 18 tons, and the maximum load on the rear axle — 11.5 tons. Chinese buses are certified with a gross weight of 18 to 20 tons. For example, the Higer KLQ 6119TQ bus, for which the fine was issued, has a mass of 20 tons, and the rear axle accounts for 13.5 tons.
Given that Chinese equipment is certified in Russia, over time a legal conflict (when the equipment is legal, but the corresponding data is not entered into the automatic weight control system) should be resolved, but until then a lot of fines may be issued. And in order not to receive these fines now, drivers have to drop off passengers before passing automatic scales.
