Now using AMD Ryzen 7035 and Intel Core Ultra processors
Lenovo has updated its most affordable business laptops — ThinkPad L line. The new model — ThinkPad L14 G5 — switched to AMD Ryzen 7035 and Intel Core Ultra processors, and also received a new chassis, as Lenovo began using 16:10 aspect ratio screens instead of 16:9 aspect ratio screens. Finally, the ThinkPad L15 G4 became history, replaced by ThinkPad L16 G1 arrived with a 16-inch panel.
In budget ThinkPads, the situation with memory expansion is usually better than in expensive ones, and the new ThinkPad L is another confirmation of this: they have two slots for SO-DIMM DDR5 modules, the maximum RAM is 64 GB. A small but important upgrade: the transition from SSD M.2 2242 to full-size M.2 2280. Battery capacity — 46.5 or 57 W·h.
Despite changing the screen aspect ratio, 2K panels did not appear: resolution — 1920 x 1080 pixels. True, the brightness has been increased from 300 to 400 cd/sq.m. Another innovation — adding a third USB port.
ThinkPad L14 G5 and ThinkPad L16 G1 based on AMD CPUs will go on sale in March, starting at $1,000. Versions based on Intel processors are on sale in April, the price is higher — from 1180 dollars.
