The difference from its predecessor was not only the OLED screen
Announced at the beginning of the year at CES 2024, the compact gaming laptop Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 has gone on sale in the United States. The device can be purchased in a configuration with a Ryzen 9 8945HS processor, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop 3D accelerator, 16 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD for $1,600. Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 has a more interesting option — with 32 GB of RAM and GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop. The price of this version — $2000, but such laptops are not available yet.
The Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 differs from its predecessor by having an OLED screen (with a resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels and a frame rate of 120 Hz) instead of an IPS panel, a new customizable OLED backlight and six speakers instead of four. In last year's Asus ROG Zephyrus G14, the RAM could be changed independently; the 2024 model does not provide such an option — the entire amount of RAM is soldered on the motherboard.
Dimensions of Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 2024 are 312 x 220 x 16 mm, weight — 1.5 kg. The laptop configuration includes a rechargeable battery with a capacity of 73 W·h.
