No need to wait for a Lada Aura station wagon – there won’t be such a car

Unlike Vesta and Iskra, Lada Aura will be presented in only one body type

AvtoVAZ declassified the Lada Aura last year; the car, we recall, is an extended version of the Lada Vesta. Considering that the platform with «Vesta» is the same, one might think that an extended station wagon will appear in the future. But no, that won't happen.

As reported to the resource «Lada.online» Director of Public Relations  AvtoVAZ Sergey Ilyinsky, Lada Aura will be produced only in a sedan body. But in addition to the luxury version, there will also be simpler options, including for taxis.

If the Aura is exclusively a sedan, then the Lada Iskra will be presented in at least three variants: a sedan, a regular station wagon and a cross-station wagon.
