Nintendo's dominance continues. Latest ranking of game and console sales in Japan

Despite being almost seven years old, Nintendo Switch is still the number one selling console and game in Japan. Famitsu provided data for last week.

In Europe and the USA, the most popular console is the PlayStation, but Japan is a different world where Nintendo has no equal. The console will soon be seven years old, and it continues to sell well. Nintendo Switch has sold more than 33 million copies and, in a sense, you can say that according to statistics, one in four Japanese people owns a Switch. copies of all versions of Switch. PlayStation 5 took second place with 33,504 consoles sold. The Xbox Series X|S completes the podium with 3,113 consoles.

The sales ranking is dominated by games for Nintendo's hybrid console. The total number of sales of this game in Japan is indicated in parentheses.
