The first domestic trunking communication system was presented
Operator «MegaFon» reported that he was the first in Russia to develop domestic professional radio communications (trunking). Trunking allows you to instantly connect with another subscriber or an entire group without the delay of dialing a number or waiting for an answer. This type of communication is especially in demand among emergency services and organizations: hotels, security companies, sports stadiums and mining and processing plants.
Trunk communication «MegaFon» works on the basis of the LTE cellular network and allows you not only to communicate by voice, but also to track location, transfer files and broadcast video. All this happens at speeds of up to 300 Mbit/s and over a secure mobile network. The system is completely domestic, it includes server and software, as well as subscriber devices with a PTT (Push-to-talk) key, with one click of which you can call an individual subscriber or an entire group.
Communication will work in any place where there is LTE coverage, and outside such an area, operator specialists will deploy a network to organize trunking. The customer can purchase from «MegaFon» communication devices and host trunking servers, or connect to the operator’s servers via cloud technologies — in this case, all traffic is processed at MegaFon's facilities. The company noted that in terms of technical characteristics, the Russian solution for trunking is not inferior to foreign ones.
