“She wasn't as good as I wanted. I’m one of those people who believe that if you set out to do something, then do it at the highest level, or don’t do it at all,” said the director of “Fury Road” and “Furiosa”

Previously, the famous director George Miller said that he really wants a game in the Mad Max universe from Hideo Kojima, because he didn’t like Mad Max from Avalanche Studios, released in 2015.

Former Avalanche head Christopher Sundberg responded to Miller's criticism and explained that it was all Warner Bros.'s fault, which demanded the game be released as soon as possible and ignored his requests to push back the release. As a result, Mad Max was released on the same day as Metal Gear Solid V, which resulted in modest sales and the cancellation of add-ons that were already ready.

Sundberg noted that at one time Avalanche wanted to implement a completely open world in Mad Max, but the studio was forced to make the game structure more linear.

“We spent a year of work, and in the end we heard that “the players want more freedom.” “Come on”, Sundberg summed up.
