Chinese open source hardware manufacturer Sipeed Technology is set to release the Lichee Pocket 4A portable console. The company has released details and official images.
Lichee Pocket 4A will have a transparent body design, the device will be equipped with a 7-inch LCD touch screen with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, a 6000 mAh battery, and removable handles. The body, made of plastic and aluminum, weighs about 630 g. Without handles, the device weighs 490 g.
The core of the device is the Sipeed LM4A module, equipped with a Pingtou Ge Xuantie TH1520 quad-core processor. The set-top box also features an Imagination BXM-4-64 GPU and an NPU with 4 TOPS AI performance. The device received 8 or 16 GB LPDDR4x RAM and 32 or 128 GB eMMC flash memory.
Lichee Pocket 4A supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4 and has a gigabit Ethernet connector, as well as two USB 3.0 Type-A interfaces, one USB 2.0 Type-C and a microSD memory card reader. It also features a 5 megapixel OmniVision OV5693 camera, stereo speakers and a microphone.
Lichee Pocket 4A will support Android and Debian Linux operating systems. The price has not yet been announced.
