Jason Schreier: the priority is the development of the new Ghost of Tsushima, there is no Sly Cooper

Ghost of Tsushima once delighted players on PlayStation consoles. The Sucker Punch Productions franchise is expected to return

Recently, insider Jeff Grubb spoke about the expected content of the upcoming PlayStation Showcase and Xbox Games Showcase presentations. Perhaps not all the information he presented is correct.

A few hours later, Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier responded to his “insights”:

«…Sucker Punch is a studio for one project [does not do several at the same time]. The reason Ghost of Tsushima 2 hasn't come out yet is because AAA video games now take 5-7 years to make. (Also, Sucker Punch is smaller than most other AAA game developers)“.

It turns out that Sucker Punch Productions currently does not have any new game in the Sly Cooper franchise and is currently working on only one project – a continuation of the previously sensational Ghost of Tsushima (there has been no official announcement of the conditional “GoT 2” yet ).

Jeff Grubb then responded to the journalist: he explained that he had only “heard” a lot of rumors about the supposed development of a new Sly Cooper, which in the end were never confirmed (about the return this franchise has actually been talked about on various forums for many years).
