In the Yu-Gi-Oh! continue to restore order. Some tournaments will be held in a more low-key atmosphere
Yu-Gi-Oh! this is a big franchise that is not limited to just digital games. There is also a “physical” trading card game that hosts tournaments.
Community Yu-Gi-Oh! It is large and has specific representatives who attend events with “spicy” equipment. Sometimes “adult drawings” were applied to the sleeve (cover) of the cards and the game mat; images with the heroes of the shareware hit Genshin Impact were especially popular.
We began to apply special measures . For 2024 European & Oceanic World Championship recently updated the rules – Konami banned unofficial equipment, now all participants must:
- Use only a solid color mat or an officially licensed Yu-Gi-Oh! Use regular, plain, or officially licensed Yu-Gi-Oh card sleeves!
- If you are provided with card sleeves during the stream and /or play mat, you must use the items provided.
The reasons for making these changes are as follows:
- To reduce the time spent checking players' accessories during a tournament
- Free up judges to spend less time to control accessories and more time to improve the tournament conditions for duelists
- To ensure convenience for participants of all ages
