Apple is close to AMD
In the last quarter, Intel shipped 50 million PC processors to the market, many times ahead of its competitors.
Intel's shipments in annual terms remained almost unchanged (+3%), however, like AMD's (-1%). But if Intel supplied 50 million CPUs, then AMD — only 8 million. In this case, Canalys only counts desktop PCs and laptops, but does not count tablets, which in any case do not greatly affect the statistics. Apple took third place in the ranking, shipping 6 million processors, which is 4% less than a year earlier.
If you look at the use of certain CPUs by different PC manufacturers, you can see that 40% of all AMD processors were bought by Lenovo. It also acquired 25% of all Intel CPUs.
