The Jetta brand, owned by the FAW Volkswagen joint venture, announced the launch of mass production of the updated Jetta VS5 and VS7 crossovers in China. There is no word yet on the equipment of the interior; the units remain the same, but the exterior has been noticeably improved.
The cars received a large radiator grille shaped “a la Lexus”, new bumpers and plastic sidewalls. But the headlights remained the same, and the rear part, judging by the photo, was not touched at all.
Both models are built on the Volkswagen MQB platform. The younger model is an analogue of the Skoda Karoq, the older — something like the Chinese Volkswagen Tiguan. In Russia, the Jetta brand is already recognizable: in October last year, the Jetta brand entered the top 15 of the Russian car market, according to JSC «PPK».
