These are statistics only for Puget itself
Puget Systems published sales statistics for 2023, assessing the popularity of certain processors. In this case, Intel and AMD CPUs are compared.
It’s worth mentioning right away that Puget Systems only indicates its own sales statistics. The company deals with both consumer PCs and workstations and servers.
So, if we talk about consumer processors, Intel continues to confidently lead here. The company abruptly seized the initiative from AMD in mid-2022 and so far confidently holds it, occupying about 80% of Puget sales.
But AMD is taking revenge in the CPU segment for workstations, and bypasses Intel by almost an order of magnitude: the latter takes only 10%. You can also see that with the release of Threadripper 7000, users have greatly increased interest in more affordable models instead of Pro models, but this is only because in the last generation there were no models outside the Pro line at all.
As for the rest, we can highlight the total dominance of SSDs with NVMe over old drives with SATA, and 1 TB as the most popular drive size.
