Google has introduced a new search feature, Circle to Search, for the Android operating system. The new option works like this: the user circles or in any other way (line, stroke) selects anything on the screen of his smartphone, and the system offers him search results on this topic. It is reported that the function will work in any application on a mobile device. To launch Circle to Search, you need to hold down the «Home» button for some time. or the navigation bar, after which the tool will appear on the screen above everything else.
Circle to Search will launch worldwide on January 31st. At the first stage, it will be available on Google’s own smartphones — Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, as well as on the just-unveiled flagship models Samsung Galaxy S24, S24 Plus and S24 Ultra. Google promises that the new option will work on some other “select premium Android smartphones” later this year, but specific models have not yet been specified.
