The latest Camaro is the “evil” ZL1 model with a 6.2-liter V8 engine and a manual transmission
The last Chevrolet Camaro rolled off the assembly line at the General Motors plant in Lansing (Michigan, USA). From now on, the world famous muscle car is officially dead. However, this is not the first death of the Camaro.
Chevrolet announced that the latest Camaro – this is «extreme» ZL1 with a 6.2 liter V8 engine and a manual transmission, belonging to a limited «collector's edition» – a total of 350 cars were produced. It is not said whether the car went to a private buyer or was taken to the Chevrolet Museum.
It became known in March of this year that the Camaro would be discontinued without a successor, so the «death» iconic model did not come as a surprise. But the Camaro was already «dying» in 2002, then to be revived in 2010 and play one of the main roles in the cult film franchise «Transformers». And now the Camaro has died, so that someday, not very soon, it will be reborn. This was hinted at by Chevrolet Global Vice President Scott Bell. «While we are not announcing a successor today, rest assured this is not the end of the Camaro story– he said.
