It will be presented on April 12

Haopin (GAC Aian brand) all-solid-state battery will be introduced and released on April 12th.

The battery is reportedly 100% solid electrolyte and features ultra-high energy density and safety, as well as a wide operating temperature range. The developers said that they had reached a new level and moved from laboratory research to mass production.

At the 21st Guangzhou International Auto Show last November, GAC Group announced that it would introduce all-solid-state batteries in cars in 2026. Then in early February this year, CCTV news reported on GAC Aian Haopin's solid-state battery: the energy density exceeded 350 Wh/kg. For the same weight it offers 3 times more capacity.

GAC Aian Laboratory announced last year that it had completed the experimental verification of solid-state battery interface modification technology and announced a new technological breakthrough. This technology will reduce the service life of solid-state batteries by 50%, and the battery capacity can be maintained at more than 90% after 150 cycles.

According to Li Jin, head of GAC Aian's battery R&D department, GAC Aian has increased the energy density of all-solid-state batteries based on advanced silicon anodes from 300 W•h/kg to 350 W• h/kg.
