Automaker plans to switch to 100% electric vehicles by 2030

Swedish carmaker Volvo Cars has released its latest diesel-powered car. It was the Volvo XC90 diesel SUV, produced at the Swedish plant in Torslanda. It rolled off the production line on Tuesday evening, March 26, 2024.

Volvo Cars is planning a complete transition to selling exclusively electric vehicles by 2030, but in the meantime, the manufacturer’s product range will still include cars with gasoline engines.

One of the leaders of Volvo Car, Eric Severinson, who is responsible for new cars and strategy, said:

We are quite confident that we have very good offers for customers even without diesel.
