About 90 models were released this year
The joint press service of the Avtodom and AutoSpetsTsentr dealer holdings confirmed that up to 45 new models of Chinese brands will appear on the Russian car market next year.
“Next year, Chinese automakers will introduce about 30 more new models to the Russian market. According to our feelings, the upper limit will not exceed 45 models. A larger quantity may lead to overstocking of the market,” said a company representative.
According to the analytical agency Autostat, about 30 models of Chinese cars appeared in Russia in the first half of 2023, and more than 60 in the second half.
In particular, in November alone, the Hongqi HQ9 business minivan, the premium frame SUV M-Hero from Dongfeng, the BAIC X7 crossover, the Evolute i-Sky electric car, the Sollers ST6 pickup truck, as well as the JAC JS3 and Livan X6 Pro SUVs went on sale or will go on sale and other models.
