First launch ceremony took place
Chery Group officially announced that on the morning of April 7, Ecotech Powertrain, a subsidiary of Chery Group, held the first launch ceremony of the H4J20 hybrid engine at the Powertrain Laboratory of the Longshan Test Center.
H4J20 — It is a large displacement engine designed for a diversified global market. It can flexibly adapt to horizontal and vertical layout requirements. When creating the engine, emphasis was placed on parameters such as maximum power, maximum torque and thermal efficiency.
The development cycle for this 2.0-liter hybrid engine has been shortened to 21 months. Its serial production will begin by the end of June 2025. Jetour will be the first to use it. Jietu D01 is expected to be positioned as a hardcore hybrid SUV.
IT Home writes that the H in the H4J20 engine represents a new engine code, 4 — four-cylinder engine, J — direct injection into the cylinder, and 20 indicates engine capacity 2.0 liters.
