It will be based on Dimensity 6100+
The $100 Xiaomi Redmi 13C 4G smartphone was introduced a month ago, and the Redmi 13C 5G should hit the market soon. And today Xiaomi revealed its basis.
The advertising poster tells us that the heart of the new product will be the Dimensity 6100+. If earlier the budget versions of some model with 5G were much more powerful than the similar version with 4G, now this is not always the case. In particular, the performance of the above SoC is about the same as that of the Helio G99, which powers the Redmi 13C 4G. Actually, this is not surprising, because the characteristics of these platforms are identical down to the frequencies, and the only difference is in the modems.
However, it is worth noting that there are two modifications of the Redmi 13C 4G in the world. One is based on the Helio G99, while the other relies on the less powerful Helio G88 SoC, which is also produced using an older process technology.
As for the rest, the new product is credited with a 6.74-inch IPS screen with HD+ resolution, 8/256 GB of memory, a 5000 mAh battery and a 50-megapixel camera.
