It is much cheaper than the H100, but also much weaker
Nvidia has reportedly begun accepting orders for H20 accelerators created specifically for the Chinese market after another tightening of US sanctions.
H20 was announced along with L20 and L2 back in November, but then it became known that the release of at least the older model was delayed due to a number of problems.
It is not yet known when deliveries will begin, but earlier there was information about the second quarter of this year. But Reuters reports a price that lies somewhere between $12,000 and $15,000. For comparison, for the H100 they are asking both $30,000 and $50,000, and there were reports of $70,000 — How long will it take for the company to reach an agreement with Nvidia?
The H20 accelerator is a greatly reduced version of the H100. Moreover, unlike the A100, the H20 is cut down on many fronts and quite noticeably. Because of this, in some aspects such an accelerator is seven times weaker than H100.
