Motorola has officially introduced the new smartphone Moto G Play 2024, which, as we already wrote, is not at all intended for games, despite its name. This is a budget device in a plastic case and without 5G support, which will be sold in the American market for $150. At the same time, the new product has received a number of improvements compared to its predecessor: a more powerful processor, twice as much internal memory and an improved camera.
Moto G Play 2024 is built on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC and runs Android 13 OS. The smartphone has 64 GB of internal memory, which can be expanded using microSD cards up to 1 TB. The device's screen is 6.5-inch with a resolution of 720p and a refresh rate of 90 Hz, which is good for this class. The new product also received a 50-megapixel main and 8-megapixel front camera. The battery capacity is 5000 mAh, it supports fast charging with a power of 15 W.
The dimensions of the smartphone are 163.82 × 74.96 × 8.29 mm, and the weight — 185 grams, the device has a degree of protection against dust and water in accordance with the IP52 standard. Sales of Moto G Play 2024 in the USA will start on February 8; a version without reference to a specific operator will be available on the manufacturer’s website and online retailers. In Canada, the smartphone will be available for purchase starting January 26.
