They will be shown at CES 2024
BMW will showcase the company's latest advances in smart cockpits, smart driving and other areas during CES.
According to the official announcement, BMW is creating a new generation of personal assistant that will be smarter than the previous one. It's powered by generative AI technology provided by Amazon Alexa's large language model and “understands you and your machine better.” BMW also ensures that the generative artificial intelligence will not take over the user's operations or steal his information.
In addition, BMW will also launch a new in-car gaming feature that will allow smartphones to be connected to the car as a game controller. After the next update, users will be able to use real Xbox and PlayStation game controllers.
During CES, BMW will also demonstrate the use of VR, AR and other technologies in the cockpit. When used with augmented reality glasses, the system will be able to display navigation instructions, entertainment content, charging station information, parking conditions and other content. Officials also said that even in difficult driving situations such as turns and bumps, the content you see is still clear and vibrant.
BMW and Valeo will also demonstrate a «next generation» car parking solution that allows drivers to park their cars in designated areas, and the cars will then automatically search for and enter parking spaces. When the driver needs to use the car again, the car can automatically move out of the parking space.
