When creating Holo X Break, the creator faced an unexpected test of strength. Life will never be the same again
Indie developer KayAnimate, known for HoloCure Save the Fans! – a clone of Vampire Survivors with virtual bloggers Hololive (Vtuber agency) – announced a collab with holo Indie. She will be the publisher of his new game Holo X Break.
KayAnimate managed to drag nine YouTubers into Holo X Break for voice acting (and hinted that the 10th may still not be revealed voice). Players will have the opportunity to play as 5th generation Hololive Vitubers (NePoLaBo) and fight 5 Vituber bosses.
KayAnimate admitted that the collab was not easy for him – he had to pronounce the name own game for recording, so that bloggers have a sample for creating voice acting:
«Now that we've revealed [the collaboration with holo Indie] and can confirm that we miraculously managed to get all 9 bloggers to cast their votes, [I want to talk about how] the title at the end of the teaser is a bit of a painful memory for me.
Let me explain –
When I sent the staff a request to have each blogger pronounce the title, they wanted to make sure that it would be easy for the bloggers to write down and pronounce the title exactly as it should be pronounced…
So they asked me… to record myself saying it to give them an example…
I sat there for about 30 minutes wondering if I was mentally prepared to accept that these 9 bloggers would listen me trying to voice and pronounce the title the same way you all heard it [in the trailer].
Eventually I pulled myself together and did it, but I feel like I lost a part of myself that day
Never in my life have I felt as awkward as I did at that moment. My shame is dead. I'll never get over this, it's all over for me...”
