Cars are Russified and adapted for Russia
In Belarus near Minsk at the «Unison» began producing crossovers VGV U70 and VGV U75 Plus using the SKD method. The first batch will be assembled in two weeks, the second batch of vehicle kits will arrive in May, and in total it is planned to assemble 6 thousand cars by the end of the year. Most of them will go to Russia.
Prices in Belarus have already been announced: VGV U70 Pro with manual transmission — $22,377, and the top-end U75 Plus with a 2.0-liter turbo engine producing 199 hp. and 8-speed «automatic» — $28,384. According to the editor-in-chief of «Behind the wheel» Maxim Kadakov, in Russia the price for basic versions of crossovers will be around 2.3 —2.5 million rubles.
Cars have been adapted for Russia: the suspension has been recalibrated, the operating algorithms of «automatic machines» (in the top version of the VGV U70 Pro there is a 6-speed hydromechanical transmission), Russification has been carried out, the engines are adapted to run on AI-92 gasoline, there is a full range of “warm options,” and noise insulation has been improved. Ground clearance is 200 mm.
