Samsung has decided to boast that it now has the industry's first folding mobile screen that meets the military standard MIL-STD 810G.

This screen not only exists, but is already in use. We are talking about the display of the folding smartphone Galaxy Z Fold5.

In tests, the folding panel operated normally even after the outer part of the panel was frozen into 6 mm thick ice by spraying water at a temperature of minus 10 degrees, and this condition was maintained for four hours. There were no performance issues in the test, in which the device maintained temperatures of -32 degrees and +63 degrees for two hours straight and repeated such sudden temperature changes three times within 12 hours

For a flexible screen, these are very impressive figures. Interestingly, perhaps Samsung decided to announce this right now against the backdrop of recent news that Apple allegedly tested the folding panels of the Korean giant and was not satisfied with the reliability.
