Alan Wake 2 will not be forgotten in 2024. Remedy Entertainment has prepared a patch that can please GTX 1000 owners

Digital Foundry specialist Alex Battaglia has returned Alan Wake 2 to PC. He had a good reason, since Remedy Entertainment prepared a patch for last year's horror game, which is designed to improve performance on GTX 1000 series video cards.

For comparison, it was decided to use the graphics settings as a basis Alan Wake 2 from the PlayStation 5 version at 60 FPS (“performance mode”). Judging by the available results, we are talking about an almost twofold increase in performance on the GTX 1000.

For example, on the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 video card, the performance increase was 46% (from 15 to 25 FPS). However, stuttering is still observed; changing the resolution does not help.

On the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 there is a 57% increase – from 21 to 30 FPS and in general you can comfortably play at 1080p.

The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 is doing even better – an increase of about 49%, i.e. from 26 to 48 FPS.

The GTX 1080 Ti from 28 to 57 FPS, in conjunction with AMD FSR 2 at 1080p, the game started working with VRR at 60 FPS.< /p>

Thanks to the updated menu in Alan Wake 2, you can now see in real time how changing graphics settings affects the “picture” that you will observe during the passage.
