It will help observe the melting of metals
Holding «Ruselectronics» state corporation «Rostec» has developed new heat-resistant thermal imaging cameras capable of operating at extreme temperatures up to 1800°C. The video surveillance system includes a new generation heat-resistant camera with a thermal imager developed by the enterprise. It made it possible to raise the peak temperature of the camera from 1600 to 1800°C and to abandon the purchase of foreign analogues. The new camera also received an updated air and water cooling system.
Such equipment can be used for continuous remote monitoring of melting processes, including refractory metals – for example stainless steel. In the event of an emergency situation, for example, turning off the water, air supply or power, a light and sound alarm is activated, and the camera is automatically removed from the high-temperature zone.
The development has already been tested at one of the metallurgical plants, confirming the requirements for the product laid down in the technical specifications and the requirements set by customers. Certification work is now being completed, then the first deliveries will begin, which is expected to happen before the end of 2024. In addition to metallurgy, such equipment can be used in chemical and glass industries.
