In the top configuration, a media system screen with reduced frames and climate control instead of air conditioning
«Chinese cars» published new live photos of the updated Geely Emgrand, which entered the Belarusian market, and told new details. One of the most interesting: new Emgrand units require less maintenance.
If the pre-restyling Emgrand in Belarus was equipped with a 104-horsepower JLC-4G15 engine, which was a clone of the Toyota engine, now under the hood there is a 122-horsepower BHE15-AFD engine, which was created by Geely together with Volvo. The BHE15-AFD has a fairly high compression ratio – 13.5, so AI-92 gasoline is contraindicated for him. Instead of a variator, the car received an automatic transmission. A car with new units is required to visit a service center once a year or after a mileage of 10 thousand km. For comparison, the pre-facelift Emgrand had to go for a service every 6 months or 7.5 thousand km.
Other innovations – the presence of plastic engine protection on the bottom, the black color of the instrument panel and the black color of the upholstery on the back side of the front seats (previously there was easily soiled white upholstery), and in the top configuration there was a media system screen with reduced frames and climate control instead of air conditioning.
The price has increased, and noticeably. The most affordable restyled Geely Emgrand in Belarus now costs 57.6 thousand Belarusian rubles versus 49.2 thousand Belarusian rubles for the previous version. The difference – 8.4 thousand Belarusian rubles or 238 thousand Russian rubles. The difference in price of the top versions is even greater – 10.9 thousand Belarusian rubles (approximately 310 thousand Russian rubles).
