There are still more questions than answers
A blacklist of bloggers using YouTube will soon appear in Russia.
As TASS reports, the Public Chamber (PC) of the Russian Federation is starting work on creating a kind of blacklist of Russian bloggers running channels on the YouTube platform.
The first deputy chairman of the RF OP Commission for the Development of the Information Community, Media and Mass Communications, Alexander Malkevich, spoke about this, although it is not yet very clear what kind of list this is.
The Public Chamber is now, among other things, starting to work on a blacklist of bloggers working on the YouTube platform. We will publish it because these are people who deliberately do not work in Russian social networks, positioning themselves as Russian bloggers
From this phrase it is unclear what the essence of the blacklist will be, what criteria will be used to get there, how this will threaten bloggers, and who and in what form will decide who to add to this list. There is only the following phrase
And here legislators must have their say, because if you don’t go to our platforms, it means you want to hide your income, either out of stupidity, or out of habit, or you are conducting enemy activities < /p>
Judging by the wording, apparently those Russian-speaking bloggers who use YouTube, perhaps some other foreign sites, but do not use Russian services are at risk. So far there are many more questions than answers.
But it is known that at first the authors will concentrate on the authors of children's content. Malkevich stated that cases where the authors themselves — For minors, it’s worth figuring out whether they run these channels themselves or whether their parents or guardians do it for them. However, again, it is not clear why the second option is something bad that should cause adding to the blacklist.
It is also clear from the statements that the initiative is also aimed at stimulating the transition of bloggers to Russian services.
We need to help them on these social networks. We published in the OP Telegam channel a whole list of our normal, well-developing social networks – analogues of Western ones. All this is there, it works
