There are four engines and three screens in the cabin
BYD received a certificate from the Chinese Ministry of Industry for its newest hypercar YangWang U9 – this means that the company has permission to sell new products. YangWang U9 is notable for its power plant: there are four electric motors producing a total of 1305 hp. The maximum speed previously announced by the creators – 300 km/h, and the car should accelerate to 100 km/h in just 2 seconds.
The dimensions of the BYD YangWang U9 are 4966 x 2029 x 1295 mm with a wheelbase of 2900 mm. The hypercar received a carbon roof and a developed diffuser, but a large rear wing (also carbon) is an option. Wheels of size 275/35 R21 are installed at the front, and at the rear – dimensions 325/30 R21.
Curb weight is 2475 kg – almost double that of the Porsche 911 (992). True, the Porsche 911 does not have that much power, and also does not have a heavy traction battery (its capacity is 100 kWh). Previously, the BYD YangWang U9 had a range of 700 km, but this is a very optimistic value: in reality, you can count on about 500 km with careful driving (not full throttle).
The Ministry of Industry traditionally does not publish photos of the car inside, but earlier the interior of the BYD YangWang U9 was shown in official images. The designers managed to place three screens on the front panel of this hypercar: one in front of the driver, one in the center and one in front of the passenger.
Despite the fact that sales permission has already been received, in reality it will only be possible to buy BYD YangWang U9 in 2024. Estimated price – 140 thousand dollars.
