The Yandex team announced the launch of an update to the branded service «Yandex Travel», especially useful for lovers of the beach and the Krasnodar region. Information about sea holidays is displayed in the application in the «My trip» section. when booking a hotel in Sochi, Adler, Sirius, Gelendzhik, Anapa, Tuapse, Dzhubga, Novorossiysk, Taman, Temryuk and Vityazevo.
Users can view a map of beaches selected by the service based on a high average score and the number of reviews. Details are given about each: is there sand or pebbles, are there sunbeds, showers and changing cabins, as well as what entertainment is available on the beach.
You can assess whether the beach is very full using video from city cameras that transmit data in real time. You can also get directions from the hotel to the selected beach.
The section contains data from Yandex Weather, built on the basis of Meteum’s own forecast technology. They show water temperature, wind strength, wave height, UV index, sunrise and sunset times. This will help tourists plan a trip to the beach so that their vacation is comfortable, and also not miss the time for the best photos. Weather information appears 10 days before the trip.
Each beach has one or several flags. Most flags indicate that swimming is safe depending on weather conditions. There are also flags that indicate water pollution, beaches for surfers and places recognized for cleanliness and safety by UNESCO.
