The itch.io portal with games from independent developers has ceased to be available to users from Russia. There were no blockages from government regulators. The itch.io website was not included in the unified register of prohibited resources.
Although the resource administration assured that it did not restrict access for residents of the Russian Federation, you can only access the site using a VPN.
One of the portal administrators noted that the problem may be related to DNS, since yesterday there was a failure on the itch.io side, however, commentators claim that DNS has nothing to do with it to site accessibility.
No further comments were received from itch.io.
