Researchers continue to poke around in The Day Before. Seeing suspiciously familiar elements seen in the Unreal Engine Marketplace
The Day Before came out and impressed players with not the most outstanding quality. And before, you could hear accusations against developers about using ready-made Unreal Engine Marketplace assets.
Now enthusiasts, for example SALAZAR, have the opportunity to dig deeper into The Day Before files and point out traces specific assets. Some even express the opinion that they could have used a ready-made American City Packs (Bundle) for $300 and other assets to create the illusion of development: supposedly the game was not going to be released, but there were plans to create fake materials that investors could buy into, and then this “game” would have simply been cancelled.
Judging by the publication of XXAUSTINJAMES, at a minimum, they could use ready-made buildings, car models, interface and other game systems. We have compiled a list of various assets, here are some of them (we have already counted about 100 positions):
Narrative Inventory – Networked Lightweight Inventory System
Survival Game Kit V2
7 Cars Pack
American Retro Cafe
HQ Retro Farmhouse (Modular)
It is noteworthy that in the files we also managed to find the Easy Voice Chat voice chat plugin for $75. Community members expressed the idea that it was not implemented into the game because they could not figure out how to make it non-global (so that only players standing nearby could hear).
