Developers Massive Entertainment have extensive experience in creating open worlds, so they promised that Star Wars Outlaws will be full of a variety of locations, both familiar from the saga and completely new.
Thanks to collaboration with NVIDIA, Ubisoft and LucasFilm Games, the game takes advantage of the performance of GeForce RTX graphics cards, providing full support for DLSS 3, ray tracing and Reflex.
CTO Tobias Carlsson said:
“At Massive Entertainment, world-building is part of our DNA, and what better way to showcase our craft than creating the first ever open world Star Wars game. Filled with a variety of locations in the outer reaches of the galaxy, both iconic and new, players will be able to experience the Star Wars underworld like never before. DLSS 3 gives us enough performance to bring our vision to life, and supports additional ray tracing features, helping players fully immerse themselves in the adventures of Kay Vess and Nyx.”
DLSS 3, using NVIDIA's Ada Lovelace architecture, will generate new high-quality frames, significantly increasing performance. NVIDIA Reflex promises to reduce latency for a more enjoyable gaming experience.
The game, built on the Snowdrop engine, will be enhanced with NVIDIA RTX Direct Illumination and Global Illumination based on ray tracing, which will improve graphics quality to a new level.
Star Wars Outlaws will premiere at the end of 2023.
